Thank you for your application to affiliate to International Kenbu Kai Karate Kobudo Organization (IKKO).
Kenbu Kai is an Association that is essentially a “Gathering of Friends”. Established in 1982, we have maintained much the same 100 or so groups in membership for most of that time.
We are an unincorporated, non-profit making body, dedicated to servicing our members with what they need to operate, in a low key, honest and uncomplicated manner.
In the RSA and Africa, Kenbu Kai is affiliated to the Kenbu/Kenpou Kai Okinawan Goju Ryu Organization (Okinawa), United World Karate Federation (Japan/South Africa)), through our member dojo’s and other national federations in Africa we affiliate to all United World Karate Federation National Federation. We offer instruction in karate, kobudo, Coaching and National Vocational Qualifications. Kenbu Kai is independently registered to provide and instruction and advise on all these services.
Because our Senior Members hold or have held executive positions with governing bodies, we make sure that we keep up to date with all the latest coaching information and requirements that our members need to continue to function effectively.
To enable this, we have worked very hard to produce a package for you that include everything you need to satisfy the requirements of facility providers, government departments, prospective students and insurers.
